Sisters!

It has been so fun to watch how the girl's interaction has evolved as Claire has gotten older. The newest development is that Claire is fighting back now and won't take big sister's abuses lying down. If Maggie is tormenting Claire, she will often push and shove while shouting, "MANI!" (her word for Maggie) at the top of her lungs. Just this week, Maggie took some dogs that Claire was playing with and ran into the kitchen. Mag held the pups over her head, one in each hand, just out of Claire's reach. Quick on her feet, Claire realized the best way to disarm Mag was to reach up and grab the binki right out of her mouth! This resulted in Maggie lowering one hand to get her binki back, at which point Claire snatched the dog right back. I almost fell to the ground laughing it was so hysterical! This retaliation on Claire's part is so new that it's pretty funny most of the time. I have to remember though, that Claire is old enough to learn about limits and the way we treat people. Hopefully, I can keep a straight face while disciplining, less it be ineffective.
