I finally made it to the Wyoming Co. Family Resource Center today. I have been wanting to go for months now and finally had the chance this morning. The center has a lending and learning library where you can borrow educational toys free of charge. There were so many cool toys it was hard to choose just a few. One of the toys was based on the nursery rhyme "The Farmer in the Dell." There was this giant piece of cheese which, when unzipped, revealed puppets of all the characters from the song. Maggie and I had a blast with this toy today, playing with the puppets and singing. She called the farmer "Daddy" and the wife "Mommy" which was too cute. She even learned to say the word "Nurse" while we were playing, which melted this R.N.'s heart!
I was able to catch this video where Maggie greets the nurse, the wife and the rat/mouse."

4 Months!
I can't believe Claire is 4 months old! The summer has gone by so fast! Claire is getting bigger every day and learning so much. She has discovered her hands and feet and has quite a strong grip. Claire laughs and smiles and, as long as she's not tired, is usually pretty easy going. She has slept through the night the past few nights, so we know she's able to. Now if we can just keep that trend going, we'll be in business. She has a check-up next week and I can't wait to check in on her stats, I'm thinking 15lbs.

Moo Cow
My Mom's group ventured to Manning's Dairy Farm on Wednesday. Maggie was very excited for our trip and the whole way there kept saying, "Go Farm, See Moo, Milk." The cows did not disappoint. We saw them being milked and one even got close to the kids when fed some grass. Of course, my favorite part was the ice-cream!
She'll have to get used to it...Maggie (on the right) taller than the boy who's a year older.
Talk about supply, one cow put out 43 lbs of milk during our visit!

Spiedie Fest
We traveled to Binghamton, NY to attended Spiedie Fest last Saturday. Binghamtom was the perfect half way point to meet up with our friends Mike and Jill who traveled down from Syracuse. The festival is famous for it's "spiedies" or marinated chicken kabobs, although the ones Jim makes with the spiedie sauce from the grocery store are better. Maggie loved the hot air balloons and kid rides, but was not a fan of the man on the loudspeaker. We had great weather and really enjoyed the opportunity to visit with friends.

Sing a Song
Maggie has started to sing lately, which is just a hoot. She even remembers words to songs from our music class that we haven't listened to in awhile. Hopefully she'll have a voice as nice as her Daddy's. And if she does become a singing sensation one day, we'll be able to look back and say it all began with this...

The "Bobby"
It has arrived! Maggie's new potty chair finally came, and it is exactly like her cousin Bixie's. Maggie is very excited about sitting on the potty and has been practicing every day. Just practice at this point, which is just too cute not to snap a picture of. I'm sure she'll hate me for this one day!
